Kylian Mbappe clashes with Stade Brest fans during PSG's 3-2 win

Kylian Mbappe's brace gave Paris Saint-Germain a thrilling five-goal win over Brest in Ligue 1 on Sunday. The defending Ligue 1 champions squandered a two-goal lead in the game, but eventually took all three points thanks to Kylian Mbappe's 89th-minute winner. The France star's penalty was initially saved by the Brest goalkeeper, but he managed to deflect the rebound into the net. After scoring the winning goal, Mbappe was booked for gesticulating to the crowd while celebrating the goal and was immediately replaced by Noddy Mukiele.

The PSG talisman has been criticized by all quarters, including his own manager Luis Enrique, who believes the celebrations were unnecessary and could have been avoided.

Here's what they said: Speaking to reporters after the game, the Spanish coach said: "I don't like that kind of thing, it's bad energy. It's better to try to enjoy the moment. You have to try to give positive energy. I don't know exactly what happened."

French sports journalist Bertrand Latour wrote on X: "The captain of the French team should not do this."

After the game, the France captain hit back at his critics on social media as he refused to apologize for his actions. The 24-year-old responded to defend himself, claiming that Brest fans also abused him.

Mbappe's goals 250 and 251

Mbappe's first goal of the game was his 250th for the club, despite being only 24 years old. The late winner took him to 251 goals so far in a career with the club that should be at its peak for at least another decade.

The France international's first goal came in February 2016 while playing for French Ligue 1 club Monaco, and he went on to score 26 more goals. He later moved north to join Paris Saint-Germain, where he won the Ligue 1 title but failed in the club's bid for Champions League success. In addition to scoring 224 goals for PSG, he also contributed 99 assists for the club.
